FRIDAY
St George Illawarra Dragons vs Newcastle Knights, 8pm AEST at Jubilee Stadium
Round 11 Dragons team: 1. Clint Gutherson 2. Tyrell Sloan 3. Moses Suli 4. Valentine Holmes 5. Corey Allan 6. Kyle Flanagan 7. Lykhan King-Togia 17. Blake Lawrie 9. Damien Cook 10. David Klemmer 11. Dylan Egan 12. Jaydn Su’A 13. Hamish Stewart 8. Jack de Belin 14. Jacob Liddle 15. Luciano Leilua 16. Loko Pasfiki Tonga
Team Tips: Dylan Egan is out for the season after rupturing his ACL against the Broncos which will likely see Luciano Leilua return to the starting side and Raymond Faitala-Mariner return to the bench for his first game since Round 2. Meanwhile, according to Code Sports, rugby convert Nathan Lawson could be in line to make his NRL debut. Christian Tuipulotu is expected to return to the field this week, however the fitness of Valentine Holmes will have to be assessed and with a short turnaround, Lawson could get the nod. Regardless, Lawson is reportedly battling for the wing spot with Tuipulotu.
Last week’s Knights team: 1. Fletcher Sharpe 2. James Schiller 3. Dane Gagai 4. Kyle McCarthy 5. Fletcher Hunt 6. Tyson Gamble 7. Jack Cogger 8. Tyson Frizell 9. Phoenix Crossland 16. Brodie Jones 11. Dylan Lucas 12. Kai Pearce-Paul 13. Adam Elliott 14. Jayden Brailey 15. Mathew Croker 17. Thomas Cant 19. Paul Bryan. 18th man: 20. Matthew Arthur
Team Tips: Maroons fullback Kalyn Ponga is expected to return if he gets through the Origin opener unscathed. That will see Fletcher Sharpe return to the halves and Tyson Gamble will likely be the man to make way but he could also shift to lock after Adam Elliott (bicep) was injured during a gutsy win over the Panthers last week. Elliott’s replacement, Paul Bryan, dislocated his shoulder on debut while making the first tackle but the medicos put it back into place and he showed great courage to play another 19 minutes. Leo Thompson (illness) was a late scratching last week and will return to the front row which will shift Brodie Jones back to the bench.
SATURDAY
Gold Coast Titans vs Melbourne Storm, 3pm AEST at Cbus Super Stadium
Round 11 Titans team: 6. AJ Brimson 2. Alofiana Khan-Pereira 18. Tony Francis 4. Jojo Fifita 5. Phillip Sami 14. Kieran Foran 7. Jayden Campbell 8. Moeaki Fotuaika 9. Sam Verrills 10. Reagan Campbell-Gillard 16. Chris Randall 12. Beau Fermor 13. Tino Fa’asuamaleaui 1. Jaylan De Groot 11. Klese Haas 15. Jaimin Joliffe 17. Josiah Pahulu
Team Tips: The Titans return with everyone fresh off the bye except for Maroons duo Beau Fermor and Tino Fa’asuamaleaui who will play in the Origin opener but both are expected to back up if they get through unscathed. Iszac Fa’asuamaleaui will also be available for selection after missing Round 11 following a head knock. David Fifita (ankle) is still another week away.
Round 11 Storm team: 1. Ryan Papenhuyzen 2. Sualauvi Faalogo 3. Grant Anderson 4. Nick Meaney 5. Xavier Coates 6. Cameron Munster 7. Jahrome Hughes 8. Stefano Utoikamanu 21. Harry Grant 10. Josh King 11. Shawn Blore 12. Eliesa Katoa 13. Trent Loiero 14. Tyran Wishart 15. Alec MacDonald 16. Tui Kamikamica 22. Nelson Asofa-Solomona
Team Tips: Cameron Munster, Xavier Coates, Harry Grant, Trent Loiero and Stefano Utoikamanu are all on Origin duties and if Craig Bellamy is to rest anyone, it will likely be hooker Grant. That would see Bronson Garlick come back into the starting side. Centre Jack Howarth (shoulder) is scheduled to be available for selection for his first game since Round 7. Will Warbrick is still working his way back from a heavy concussion and there is still no return date of for Alec MacDonald (quad) who was in the Maroons selection frame before his injury.

North Queensland Cowboys vs Wests Tigers, 5.30pm AEST at Queensland Country Bank Stadium
Round 11 Cowboys team: 1. Scott Drinkwater 2. Robert Derby 3. Zac Laybutt 4. Viliami Vailea 5. Murray Taulagi 6. Jaxon Purdue 7. Tom Dearden 8. Jordan McLean 9. Reece Robson 10. Coen Hess 11. John Bateman 12. Jeremiah Nanai 13. Sam McIntyre 14. Harrison Edwards 15. Thomas Mikaele 16. Griffin Neame 17. Kai O’Donnell
Team Tips: The Cowboys are coming off the bye following their loss to Manly, so their four Origin representatives in Tom Dearden, Jeremiah Nanai, Reuben Cotter and Reece Robson will all likely back up provided they can get through Origin unscathed. Dearden formed a new halves pairing with Jaxson Purdue in their last start loss to the Sea Eagles, but Todd Payten is adamant that will be his playmaker pairing going forward. Jason Taumalolo and Murray Taulagi are both battling calf injuries, but will be in the 17 if fit.
Round 11 Tigers team: 1. Jahream Bula 2. Sunia Turuva 3. Adam Doueihi 4. Starford To’a 5. Charlie Staines 6. Lachlan Galvin 7. Jarome Luai 8. Terrell May 9. Api Koroisau 10. Royce Hunt 11. Samuela Fainu 12. Alex Seyfarth 13. Alex Twal 14. Brent Naden 15. Tony Sukkar 16. Jack Bird 17. Sione Fainu
Team tips: Lachlan Galvin has likely played his last game for the club after reportedly joining the Bulldogs pending a release from the Tigers. Adam Doueihi is the likely man to join Jarome Luai in the halves, while Api Koroisau and Heath Mason are also options. Mason shapes as an interesting proposition, giving Benji Marshall the chance to keep his backline and spine in tact until Latu Fainu returns in a week’s time from a hamstring injury. Marshall swung the axe after the Tigers’ thrashing by the Storm, with Jack Bird replacing Tallyn Da Silva on the bench, but the latter could come into consideration for a recall this week to give the Tigers another threat in attack without Galvin. Samuela Fainu is bidding to overcome a knee injury to line up in the back row. Fonua Pole (knee), Jeral Skelton (hamstring) and Latu Fainu (thumb) all have uncertain timelines on their return.
Manly Sea Eagles vs Brisbane Broncos, 7.35pm AEST at 4 Pines Park
Last week’s Sea Eagles team: 1. Tom Trbojevic 2. Jason Saab 3. Tolutau Koula 4. Reuben Garrick 5. Lehi Hopoate 6. Luke Brooks 7. Jakob Arthur 8. Ethan Bullemor 9. Jake Simpkin 10. Siosiua Taukeiaho 11. Haumole Olakau’atu 15. Corey Waddell 13. Jazz Tevaga 14. Lachlan Croker 16. Nathan Brown 17. Matthew Lodge 22. Caleb Navale. 18th man: 18. Clayton Faulalo
Team Tips: A huge blow for the Sea Eagles, with the club confirmed Tom Trbojevic and Jake Trbojevic will both miss Round 13. Tom has been rested after aggravating a corked thigh while Jake is still working through concussion protocols. “The club is taking a conservative approach and will rest their star fullback this weekend,” a club statement read. Queensland skipper Daly Cherry-Evans will return if he gets through Origin which will see Jakob Arthur drop out of the 17. Josh Aloiai (shoulder) and Taofofoa Sipley (suspended) are both available for selection which could see Caleb Navale or Matthew Lodge fall off the bench. Manly coach Anthony Seibold said Jake Trbojevic (concussion) is no certainty to return and needs to see the independent doctor. Siosiua Taukeiaho suffered a calf injury issue last week and has also been ruled out.
Round 11 Broncos team: 1. Selwyn Cobbo 2. Deine Mariner 3. Kotoni Staggs 4. Gehamat Shibasaki 5. Jesse Arthars 6. Ezra Mam 7. Adam Reynolds 8. Patrick Carrigan 9. Billy Walters 10. Payne Haas 11. Xavier Willison 12. Jordan Riki 13. Kobe Hetherington 14. Cory Paix 15. Corey Jensen 16. Brendan Piakura 17. Fletcher Baker
Team Tips: According to Code Sports, Reece Walsh suffered a slight tweak to his injured knee which could delay his bid for a Round 13 return. The gun fullback will reportedly be named, but will have to prove his fitness in the coming days to get the green light to take the field. Walsh was originally scheduled for a four to six week period on the sidelines. Should Walsh return, Selwyn Cobbo will revert back to the wing after being cleared of a wrist injury and Deiner Mariner will likely drop out. Meanwhile, the Broncos will be desperate for Payne Haas to get through the Origin opener unscathed as Michael Maguire’s men need a win badly having lost five of their pas six. But considering Haas is already touch-and-go to pass fit for the Blues then they might not risk him backing up. Patrick Carrigan is also on Origin duties and is a much bigger chance to back up. . Ben Hunt (hamstring) is still another two weeks away.
Raiders end Warriors winning streak | 02:01
SUNDAY
South Sydney Rabbitohs vs New Zealand Warriors, 2pm AEST at Accor Stadium
Round 11 Rabbitohs team: 1. Latrell Mitchell 2. Alex Johnston 3. Isaiah Tass 4. Campbell Graham 5. Bayleigh Bentley-Hape 6. Jayden Sullivan 7. Jamie Humphreys 8. Jai Arrow 9. Siliva Havili 10. Keaon Koloamatangi 11. Euan Aitken 12. Tallis Duncan 13. Lachlan Hubner 14. Jye Gray 16. Davvy Moale 17. Liam Le Blanc 18. Tevita Tatola
Team Tips: Latrell Mitchell is the sole Origin representative and provided he gets through Wednesday night unscathed he will likely back-up given it is a Sunday game. However, Jye Gray will come in if Wayne Bennett decides to rest his star No.1. Blues reserve Campbell Graham will line up at centre. Prop Sean Keppie was a late scratching in Round 11 with Tevita Tatola coming onto the bench. Mikaele Ravalawa is due back from a hamstring injury in Round 13, with Bayleigh Bentley-Hape the man most likely to make way. But Ravalawa could spend a week in NSW Cup to get some match fitness.
Last week’s Warriors team: 1. Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad 2. Dallin Watene-Zelezniak 22. Ali Leiataua 3. Adam Pompey 5. Roger Tuivasa-Sheck 6. Chanel Harris-Tavita 7. Luke Metcalf 12. Marata Niukore 9. Wayde Egan 10. Bunty Afoa 4. Kurt Capewell 11. Leka Halasima 13. Erin Clark 8. Jackson Ford 14. Te Maire Martin 15. Jacob Laban 16. Demitric Vaimauga. 18th man: 21. Tanah Boyd
Team Tips: Mitch Barnett is the Warriors’ sole Origin player and will likely back-up given the Sunday fixture, but Andrew Webster could opt to rest him. In a timely boost James Fisher-Harris returns from suspension. The Warriors had a late reshuffle last week, with Ali Leiataua returning in the centres pushing Kurt Capewell to the back row, Marata Niukore to the front row Jackson Ford to the bench. With Fisher-Harris and Barnett’s return, Niukore will shift to the back row, with Bunty Afoa Leka Halasima shifting to the bench and Demitric Vaimauga and Ford likely dropping to the reserves. Edwards Kosi is due back from a chest injury in Round 13, but will struggle to force his way into the side.
Penrith Panthers vs Parramatta Eels, 4.05pm AEST at CommBank Stadium
Last week’s Panthers team: 1. Daine Laurie 2. Paul Alamoti 4. Casey McLean 5. Thomas Jenkins 20. Jesse McLean 6. Blaize Talagi 7. Brad Schneider 8. Moses Leota 9. Mitch Kenny 10. Matt Eisenhuth 3. Izack Tago 12. Liam Henry 13. Lindsay Smith 11. Preston Riki 14. Luke Sommerton 16. Luron Patea 21. Harrison Hassett. 18th man: 17. Jack Cole
Team Tips: Nathan Cleary, Brian To’o, Dylan Edwards, Liam Martin and Isaah Yeo need to get through Origin unscathed, but will likely back up given they are last place on the ladder and need every win to reach the finals. Daine Laurie will likely shift to the bench, while Casey McLean and Thomas Jenkins will make way, with Izack Tago returning to the centres from the back row. Lindsay Smith will switch to prop with Matt Eisenhuth making way. Luke Garner (concussion) and Scott Sorensen (suspension) return in a timely boost and will join the back row or the bench. Liam Henry has accepted a two-match ban for a crusher tackle on Fletcher Sharpe. Preston Riki, Luke Sommerton, Luron Patea and debutant Harrison Hassett will likely drop out of the 17 if all the Origin stars back up.
Last week’s Eels team: 1. Isaiah Iongi 2. Sean Russell 3. Viliami Penisini 4. Jordan Samrani 5. Josh Addo-Carr 6. Dylan Brown 7. Dean Hawkins 8. Jack Williams 9. Ryley Smith 10. Junior Paulo 15. Luca Moretti 12. Kitione Kautoga 13. J’maine Hopgood 11. Kelma Tuilagi 14. Dylan Walker 16. Ryan Matterson 18. Joash Papali’i. 18th man: 17. Matt Doorey
Team Tips: Mitch Moses and Zac Lomax are the only Origin stars for the Eels and will come straight back in for Dean Hawkins and Sean Russell unless they are rested, which is unlikely given the Sunday fixture and Parramatta’s spot on the table. Will Penisini copped a head knock and is in doubt, with Russell a chance to switch to the centres. Joash Papalii is also a chance at a starting debut after coming off the bench in his NRL debut last week. Matt Doorey dropped off the bench last week to 18th man and will push for a spot in the 17 this week. Kelma Tuilagi started off the bench last week, with Luca Moretti starting.
Sydney Roosters vs Canberra Raiders, 6.15pm AEST at Allianz Stadium
Last week’s Roosters team: 1. James Tedesco 2. Daniel Tupou 3. Billy Smith 4. Mark Nawaqanitawase 5. Dominic Young 6. Sandon Smith 7. Hugo Savala 8. Makahesi Makatoa 14. Benaiah Ioelu 10. Salesi Foketi 11. Egan Butcher 12. Siua Wong 13. Victor Radley 9. Zach Dockar-Clay 15. Taylor Losalu 16. Blake Steep 19. Xavier Va’a. 18th man: 18. Ethan King
Team Tips: The Roosters have five Origin representatives in Robert Toia, Connor Watson, Angus Crichton, Spencer Leniu and Lindsay Collins, who should all back up given it is the last game of the round. However, given how well their young forwards did last week, Collins and Leniu are the most likely to be rested by Trent Robinson. Dom Young, will likely make way with Mark Nawaqanitawase shifting back to the wing for Toia. Makahesi Makatoa and Salesi Foketi drop out for Collins and Leniu, but will vie for bench spots. Benaiah Ioelu was promoted to start last week and will vie for a bench spot with Zach Dockar-Clay when Connor Watson returns at hooker. Egan Butcher will switch to the bench for Crichton, with Taylor Losalu and last week’s debutant Xavier Va’a making way. Nat Butcher was a late scratching last week due to a knee injury and will likely come onto the bench this week if he is deemed fit. Sam Walker is slated to return in the next three weeks, but given the form of Hugo Savala and Sandon Smith, he might get some match fitness in NSW Cup first.
Last week’s Raiders team: 1. Kaeo Weekes 2. Savelio Tamale 3. Matthew Timoko 4. Sebastian Kris 5. Xavier Savage 6. Ethan Strange 7. Jamal Fogarty 8. Corey Horsburgh 9. Tom Starling 10. Joseph Tapine 11. Simi Sasagi 12. Zac Hosking 13. Morgan Smithies 14. Owen Pattie 15. Noah Martin 16. Josh Papali’i 17. Ata Mariota. 18th man: 18. Jed Stuart
Team Tips: Hudson Young is the lone Origin representative for the Raiders and will likely back up given they play the last game of the round, with Simi Sasagi dropping back to the bench and last week’s debutant Noah Martin dropping out. Tom Starling is facing a one-week ban for his late high shot on Chanel Harris-Tavita, with Owen Pattie or Danny Levi to start and the other to come off the bench. Ricky Stuart may opt for Levi’s experience as a starter and keep Pattie’s bench role as is. Corey Horsburgh and Joseph Tapine escaped with fines for their dangerous contact and shoulder charge charges respectively.
Bye: Bulldogs, Dolphins, Sharks
